Our Commitment
As a pioneering, women-led global company, BBINC is dedicated to creating systems-level change through dynamic partnerships and innovative approaches. We partner with funders, and support them to connect honestly and deeply with the real needs and situations of local systems and initiatives. We do this by incubating spaces that foster insight generation and collaboration. Our approach provides objective, non-competing environments focused on strengthening the development sector by:
Facilitating knowledge sharing among local experts and development professionals.
Supporting organizational development tailored to regional needs.
Delivering expert technical advisory services that bolster existing projects and initiatives.
Building vibrant communities for local experts, social-change leaders, and organizations in the Global Majority.
Encouraging ecosystem-enabling approaches that support implementing civil society organizations and partners.
Bridging existing gaps and actively seeking to avoid duplication of efforts, anchoring space for joint ventures and opportunities that ensure resources are used efficiently and impact is maximized across the development sector.
We position local experts, especially women, for technical advisory roles to create jobs and promote equal opportunity. We challenge the common practice where BBINC’s Northern counterparts subcontract local experts, who are fully capable of independently designing and sustainably implementing solutions, but pay them less than their Northern counterparts.
These partnerships are often extractive, offering limited locally informed capacity building or sustainable benefits.
This perpetuates inequity, undermines local ownership, and weakens the long-term impact and sustainability of development projects.
At BBINC, we advocate for local experts to receive the same competitive pay as Northern firms and their experts.
Through our established consortium of experts and regional partners, we unlock new opportunities for impact, creating sustainable change that lasts well beyond individual projects
